Last Weekend Of May

We started working on the garden
(Finally! What a late spring!)
and opened the pool.

A Holiday Hike

Gabrian gets to walk this time, so easier trails are necessary -- but we just aren't tough enough to pack him. He walked 2.5 miles. Pretty good.
She still gets to ride, and she loves it.
Suspension bridge.

Wherever they go, they find a place to climb.
Gabrian picked a flower
and decided Mom needed it in her hair.

Then Ari wanted one.
He did end up falling & needing the first aid kit for antibacterial wipes and bandaids.
Rocks & water -- must throw!
Smilin' eyes.
Look what they found:
Geocache.
No, this was not a private or secluded picnic spot.

They had to go in the water.
Not only cold, but against park rules because of the current.
And one of them had to fall all the way in.

They Are All Geeks

He Let Me Cut His Hair!

He still wants it long, but he grudgingly let me trim it so we can see his face again.

New Stove

Why do we need a new stove, you ask.
Well, the one on the left came with the house and was used when we were a family of 3 . . . and 4 . . . and 5 . . . and 6 . . . and 7 . . . We outgrew it several children ago. The 2.9 cubic foot oven can't even cook two small pizzas well. In contrast, the stove on the right has a 5.8 cubic foot convection oven. I can't wait! (I said before, we make a lot of cookies.) Flat top is kinda nice too. :)
The little ones hiding from the noise of the saw in the kitchen.
Ari keeps asking to have her BAHA turned off, then back on, then off again.
Don't we all wish we had the option of turning our hearing up and down?
(Oh, I guess all kids have those skills.)
Um, are we eating in town tonight?

No, we won't. It's done in time for dinner.
Here's a trial run of 3 pizzas at the same time. Woohoo!!
('Course, we could only eat two of them, but we had to see what it's like to cook 3!)

Watching Big Brothers Wrestle

How do we get in on that?
(You don't! No wrestling in the living room. That's what the yard and the Wreck Room are for.)

Ari Discovers Leapster

Not that she can actually play it, but she wants to be like her brothers.

And they all love their electronic games. . .

Oh So Silly

Sammy The Salamandar

Conor found him while digging in the sand.

Sand Pit

The sand pit is good for digging,
for getting dirty,
for going barefoot,

and for digging purposeless holes.
(This is where the salamandar was found.)
