Family Sledding Day

What can you do with this much snow in the yard?
(Actually, there is much less snow than there was at Christmas; it rained all weekend.)
:(

Well, you can go screaming down the hill on a sled or sno-tube.

The little ones get a toboggan with Mom, not a tube. . .
. . . but they may prefer to ride with Dad. . .
. . . 'cause sometimes Mom doesn't steer so well.
Ari has no fear at all. She yelled, "Wheee!" and "Yay!" all the way down and chanted, "My turn; my turn," all the way back up.
It's a long trek back up the hill.
But the trek back doesn't stop the smiling.

Conor crashes.

Cameron crashes.
Ari crashes.
She didn't make it 2 minutes after her snowsuit came off.
The other kids got hot chocolate and fresh-baked cookies.

How did Santa know?

The Nap: If You Try It, They Will Come

Cinderella's Step-sisters

No, we didn't make Gabrian wear this, and in fact, mildly but not stridently, discouraged it. He said, "I know I'm not a 'guhlo' - I'm pretending."

Favorites From Christmas

With 5 of them, even if I post just one or two pictures of each, the posts get out of hand. Oh well, enjoy!

Ari's first Christmas present ever.

Her brothers helped her rip this one. When she was on her own, she would remove one square inch of wrapping paper, jump up & take it to the garbage, then back for one more square inch. She was killing her brothers.

All 5.

Gabrian had so much fun. He kept saying, "This is so cool!"

Finally getting to the end. Aunt Bre carefully wrapped about 10 boxes, one inside the other, just for Andrew.

Cameron's digital recording lab. This is the only thing he asked for, and he has spent hours and hours building with it already.
Too much Christmas Eve!
If only she had known that it would start all over again the following morning.
Of all of her gifts, the fruity chapsticks seem to be the favorite.

Santa came through.
Pure delight. Santa brought the exact transformer he asked for.
Dad and his new Wyatt Earp statue. He got a good laugh out of it, and then when he had his hat on (carrying firewood), we made him pose with it.

Christmas at the Carneys' is tons of fun.

Christmas

Christmas Eve is spent with Grandma and Grandpa. Then Christmas morning, after seeing if Santa came, it's off to Nana and Gramps to celebrate some more.

First Christmas, First Tree, First Look

Ariana when the lights first came on.
The tree has to pass Gabrian inspection as well.

Decorating The Tree

Ari gets help with the first ornament,
but catches on quickly.

Look quickly! 5 kids working on the same thing without fighting.
A Christmas miracle!
